Privacy Policy Regarding Face Recognition Data

Face Data Collection and Usage

Our application may use facial recognition technology solely for the purpose of user authentication and identification within the app. Face data is processed securely on the device and transmitted securely to our servers as required for authentication.

Storage of Face Data

We do not store or retain face data permanently on our servers. Face data, if processed, is either:

  • Used temporarily during authentication, or
  • Converted into encrypted mathematical representations (templates), which do not allow reconstruction of the original face image.

These representations are stored only for as long as necessary to provide authentication functionality and are automatically deleted when:

  • The user deletes their account, or
  • The user removes facial authentication from the app.

Retention Period

Face data (or its encrypted representation) is retained only for the duration required to provide the feature (e.g. authentication). We do not retain face data indefinitely. The retention period is limited to:

  • Active user account duration.
  • Until the user disables the feature or requests deletion.

Purpose of Collecting Face Data

We collect and use face data strictly for:

  • Secure user authentication
  • Preventing unauthorized access
  • Enhancing user convenience and security

We do not use face data for profiling, advertising, or marketing purposes.

Sharing of Face Data

We do not sell, trade, or share face data with third parties.

In cases where third-party services are used (e.g., cloud infrastructure or authentication services), such providers:

  • Process data only on our behalf
  • Are contractually obligated to protect the data
  • Do not store or use face data for their own purposes

Third-Party Data Practices

If any third-party service is involved in processing face data:

  • They do not retain face data beyond the processing duration
  • They follow strict security and privacy standards
  • They do not use the data for independent purposes

User Control and Deletion

Users have full control over their face data. They can:

  • Disable facial recognition at any time
  • Request deletion of their data

Upon request, all associated face data is permanently deleted from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security practices including encryption and secure storage to protect any processed data from unauthorized access.
